Thirty-two years of my life was teaching school. Believe me, when I say it isn't an easy job like it was 40 years ago. You taught for 9 months, then you had 3 months off and all the holidays to rest. Today, it's a 24-hour, 7 day a week job. I'm retire on disability and enjoy music, photography, gardening, estate sales & garage sales.
My husband is getting ready to retire in September and he wants to move to our 50 acre farm near the Toledo Bend area. He wants to farm and I will be sitting on a river bank nearby fishing. Of course, he'll be hunting and expecting me to cook him a real deal meal of deer, squirrels, rabbits & fish I catch.
I was born and raised in Pasadena, Texas. Graduated from Sam Rayburn High School in '69 and attended Southwest Texas State University for three years on a voical scholarship. I graduated from the University of Houston -Clear Lake in '89 with a Bachelor of Humanities and then worked on my Master of Humanities for two years.
I have 4 courses left.
I've enjoyed reconnecting with my high school and college friends. With time on my hands, I enjoy cooking, reading, taking photos. long walks and getting into the hot tub. My husband bar-b-ques frequently and we have friends over to talk about old times and the pressing problems we are faced with today.
